Care and Repair
Bridgewater has been the managing agent for Care & Repair services in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire since 2001 with the Inverclyde Care & Repair Service transferring to The Association in 2019. This makes Bridgewater one of the largest providers of Care and Repair Services in Scotland, now covering a fully integrated service throughout the three Local Authority areas.
We provide free and confidential advice and practical assistance to people who are older or have disabilities and live in Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Inverclyde. The aim is to enable repairs and adaptations to be carried out to allow our customers to maintain their independence and remain in their homes comfortably, safely and secure.
We also work with a variety of organisations including Police Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue, Housing Associations, Seniors Forums, Charities and various local authority departments to deliver funded initiatives throughout the areas we work in. This includes installing keysafes, grabrails, integrated smoke alarms and security products. As well as providing practical help for our customers, we work with our partners to raise awareness of home safety and the dangers of cold callers and unscrupulous builders.
